There are several camps and clinics being offered over the 2014 summer for kids to keep their skills sharp during the off season! Below are a few being offered at the Independence Events Center. Registration forms can be printed from here (click on the camp or image) or picked up at the Centerpoint Community Ice Center.

5th Annual Missouri Mavericks Summer Development Camp

The Summer Development Camp will be directed by Simon Watson and members of the 2013-14 Missouri Mavericks will be on hand to assist all aspects of the camp. This camp is designed for beginner to intermediate players (ages 5-14) with the primary focus being on skating, passing, shooting and stick handling. Athletes will participate in 3 hours of on-ice and 3 hours of off-ice sessions per day. This camp is the week of July 28th - August 1st from 9 am - 4 pm each day.



5th Annual Missouri Mavericks Summer Skill Elite Camp

The Summer Skill Elite Camp will be directed by Simon Watson and members of the 2013-14 Missouri Mavericks will be on hand to assist all aspects of the camp. This camp is designed for advanced players (Squirt, Peewee, Bantam and Midget levels) looking to take their game to the next level. Hih level sessions will focus on high pace, high intensity on-ice and off-ice workouts. Athletes will participate in 3 hours of on-ice and 3 hours of off-ice per day. This camp runs the week of August 4th - August 8th from 9 am - 4 pm each day.



Missouri Mavericks Eight Week Summer Skill Sesssion

The Missouri Mavericks are hosting another summer skill camp - this time an Eight Week Program that will run from June 2nd - July 24th. This is for all ages and skill levels. There are two clinics to choose from:
1. Power Skating and Edge Control Clinic - Focus will be on skating technique speed, agility and edge control. Each student will master all aspects of skating throughout the 8 week program.
2. Shooting and Puck Handling Clinic - Focus will be on mastering shooting techniques as well as handling the puck at top speed. Students will learn to shoot in stride and handle the puck in tight areas.
This will be hosted by Simon Watson and Missouri Mavericks will be on hand to assist with all aspects of the clinics. Limited spots available, first come first serve! The program runs from June 2nd - July 24th.
