The Jr. Mavs Hockey Organization is pleased to announce the 2012-2013 Youth Travel head coaching staff and tryout schedule. The travel program will continue to offer 2 practices each week along with a 50 game schedule for the season. Find below our head coaching staff and tryout schedule for the upcoming season:

- 2006 – 2009: Head Coach and Director Of Hockey Operations KC Outlaws Mid-West High School Hockey League – Overall Record of 147- 36 -16
- 2004 – 2005: Assistant Coach Russell Stover AAA U18 Team
- 2004 – 2005: Head Coach Russell Stover AAA U16 Team
- 2004 – 2005: Founder of the Russell Stover AAA Program with Pat Ferschweiler
- 2003 – 2004: USA Hockey National Championship Finals Team
- 2003 – 2004: Assistant Coach KC Stars U18 Midget AA
- 1998 – 2002: Coached at the AAA and Junior Level
- 1999: Became the Hockey Director at Ice Sports Shawnee

- Graduated from Vancouver’s Langara College in 1998 with a degree in Recreation Facility Management

- Selected to the US National Development Camp (2002 & 2003)
- Majored in Marketing & Minored in Leadership at Kansas State University
- Reside in Overland Park, KS
- Growing up I was taught by J-F Quintin and Pat Ferschweiler, and many other well respected members in the hockey community. I am excited to pass on my hockey knowledge to young, motivated players in the Kansas City Area.

BANTAM A HEAD COACH WILL BE ANNOUNCED IN EARLY JULY.
TRYOUT SCHEDULE:
Monday, August 20th:
Squirts: 5:30 - 6:50 pm
Bantams: 8:10 - 9:30 pm
Tuesday, August 21st:
Pee Wees: 5:30 - 6:50 pm
Bantams: 8:10 - 9:30 pm
Wednesday, August 22nd:
Squirts: 5:30 - 6:50 pm
PeeWees: 8:10 - 9:30 pm
Registration for the tryouts will be available on-line through the Jr. Mavs web site at www.jrmavshockey.com and click "on-line registration". Registration fee for the tryouts will be $25 and will be paid on line when you register. Registration will be available beginning on July 16th. Practices will begin the week of September 4th with the first tournament the weekend of October 13-14 here in Kansas City in conjunction with the College Ice Breaker Tournament at the Sprint Center.
We will have a parent's meeting the week of August 14th to detail the upcoming season and provide the total costs for the year. A follow up email will be sent in early July regarding the specific time/date of this meeting along with a reminder regarding the tryout registration date.
