Bantams go 2-2 in Omaha!

The Bantam Selects entered the first weekend of MidWest Select league play with modest hopes and expectation.  They met the majority of those expectations before their heads hit the pillow on Friday night.  In game one they downed the Lincoln Stars 7-0 and followed up with a spirited effort on Saturday, holding on to defeat the DesMoines Chops 6-5.  Sunday, the pace and schedule caught up to the team as they fell in back to back matches to Ames and Omaha 5-1 & 4-1 respectively.  Derrek Hilliard led the team in scoring posting 6 goals and 3 assists for 9 points in the 4 games.  Nick Duchene also posted 6 goals + 2 assists, Lucas Johnson 1g + 6assts, Connor Stahl 1g+1a, Zach Taylor 1g, Derek Miller 1a, Patrick Cushman 1a, Simon Ales 1a.  Ben Kelling posted an 87.80 Save Percentage in the 2 wins.  Keaton Williams posted an 85.94% save percentage but received little offensive support in the two losses.
